RLR worked with Zionsville Parks and Recreation and the Zionsville Fire Department to create a trails system for Starkey Nature Park, and 80-acre woodland park.
Through our process, a web of unmarked paths were simplified to 8 defined trails, each identified with a unique number and color. The system includes entrance ID signs and a redesigned park map. An emergency identification system was developed to allow park users to accurately give their location to emergency services if needed. These location points were then added into the city’s emergency dispatch system.
